Hiring a Mover
When deciding on hiring a mover, the best way to find out whether the mover
offers a good service is by word- of -mouth or by asking a building manager. They've seen first hand the aftermath of many moves, and can recommend conscientious movers who protect office building and tenant property over those who tie up elevators, block the parking lot, and cause careless damage to doorways, walls, carpeting, and furniture.
Beware of movers who would subcontract out move labor. Ask about security measures, building protection, and how they move computers, desk(including the glass top), paintings, file cabinets. And before signing a contract, make sure the contract states the number of laborers, insurance, and all cost involved is written on that contract .
